This is a simple dish that can be served as an appetizer, salad, side dish, or even just a snack.

Serves 4


  • 1 Pear

  • Red Onion

  • Mint

  • Lemon

  • Olive Oil

  • Salt (to taste)

  • Pepper (to taste)


Start by quartering and coring your pear. Immediately drizzle lemon juice over all of the exposed insides to keep the pear from oxidizing. Next, add a bit of cheese to the cored section, followed by very thinly sliced red onion, then fresh mint.

Finish with a drizzle of olive oil, salt, and pepper, then serve immediately.

Optional: You could also add a drizzle of balsamic vinegar over the pears.
