Two Inch Thick Onion Burgers on Homemade Buns
These onion burgers are super easy, and really flavorful. The key is to start with good ground beef. You could even ask the meat counter to grind a cut of beef for you – or even grind it yourself.
They’re great for the grill, or you can pan fry them, and because they’re thick-formed patties, you’ll get a really juicy burger in the end.

Directions
Start by grating or juicing an onion. If you hand grate the onion, squeeze the juice from the grated pulp into a bowl. You won’t need a lot of onion juice here – a tablespoon or two will work great (you could also just add the grated onion if you prefer).
Next, mix the onion juice with your ground beef, a bit of Worcestershire sauce (not too much), salt, and fresh, ground pepper.
Form the patties into 2-2.5 inch thick patties, then grill or pan fry them until they’re cooked to your liking.
